What I have been watching lately
Friday, November 23, 2007
Since I have been working at Ocado, developing my own sites and from time to time playing Halo 3 on Xbox live, I haven't had time to finish off watching Twin Peaks season 2 or the last two and a half seasons of The X-files. It doesn't help therefore that I have been subscribing myself to even more television that I simply don't have the time for anymore.

Boston Legal:

Californication:

Battlestar Galactica Razor

Then there were the films...

Superbad (awesome)

Shooter (meh)

The Bourne Ultimatum (awesome)

1408 (good)

Disturbia (much better than expected) - Shia is someone to watch.

Shoot Em Up (a good laugh but nothing fabulous)

X-files Quagmire
Thursday, November 09, 2006

This is one of my favourite moments in Season 3 of the X-files, glad I could find it on YouTube. Just an interesting and funny conversation between Mulder and Scully as they are stuck on a rock in the middle of a lake in the episode "Quagmire".

Battlestar Galactica
Wednesday, November 01, 2006

Continuing on the theme of posting videos for my favourite television shows (see: X-files, Veronica Mars) I am now providing you with a fan made trailer for the BSG mini series, the dramatic opening to a 3 series (and continuing) epic that gets better and better with each episode. I cannot emphasize enough how much you have to see this show; I had originally passed it off as just another one of those sci-fi programmes but the extent to which it develops every major and minor character, the plot arcs, the twists, the developments, the gutsy ballsy nature of the writers to approach important and thought provoking issues head-on at light speed and the overall quality of anything and everything. Do not under any circumstance pass off this groundbreaking series because it is of sci-fi genre - it would be a dire mistake.

Veronica Mars opening Credits
Wednesday, November 01, 2006

To commemorate the old two seasons worth intro to my favourite show. They've replaced it with one of those spangly-fancy OC looking remixes which, in the words of a 14 year old American girl, "makes me wanna puke my guts up".

X-files Marathon
Tuesday, October 31, 2006

I have just finished Season 3 of my 9 season X-files marathon that I started in August. Halloween seems an appropriate day to do this and to also post this classic introduction.

With the power to appease the conscience comes the ability to remove freedom - Talitha Cumi.

Though if I am going to begin quoting episodes I am going to have to mention the best of Season 3, War of the Coprophages:

Mulder: I think you'd better get up here.
Scully: What happened?
Mulder: It appears that cockroaches are mortally attacking people.
Scully: I'm not going to ask you if you just said what I think you just said, because I know it's what you just said.

Mulder: Bambi also has a theory I've come to acro...
Scully: Who?
Mulder: Dr. Berenbaum. Anyway her theory is...
Scully: Her name is Bambi?
Mulder: Yeah. Both her parents were naturalists. Her theory is that UFO's are actually nocturnal insect swarms passing through electrical air fields.
Scully: Her name is Bambi?

Contortionist Lilia Stepanova

An excerpt from the show "America's Got Talent" wherein a panel of three judges rate performances. It should be noted that two of these judges are not American and the third is Brandy. *shrug* Anyway, this is a fantastic performance, though I hear it does not reflect the overall quality of the show.
